I am so sorry for your loss of Shawn. I had just read about him in the Pitt Alumni magazine. It put a spark in me to contact him because my friend and former boss has the EXACT same cancer and I wanted to ask him about the name of his surgeon and the experimental surgery.....and now I am too late.
Shawn from what I read lead the exemplary life of a person hit with cancer: he never stopped fighting and believing and extending his wellspring of hope to others around him.
It's not the length of the life but the length to which the life takes you. His took him far.
God Bless and I'll be thinking of you all during the Celebration of Life.
PS If you didn't get takers for the CD burn, find someone with an iPod to upload the songs to, put in a folder and play on an iPod player. Good luck!

GODSPEED Shawn.

Sincerely,

I read Shawn's inspiring story in the Pitt alumni magazine as well and was touched by his courage in his struggle with his disease. I hope his family and friends can find some comfort and peace in this difficult time by celebrating Shawn's too short but remarkable life. God bless you all in the journey. Shawn, may you Rest In Peace.
